All-Inclusive Caribbean Sailing Charters to the British Virgin Islands

The British Virgin Islands are one of our very favorite all-inclusive Caribbean sailing charters. While there is plenty of sailing to be had, this trip has shorter spans of sailing with around 4 hours being the longest at sea. Because the Virgin Islands archipelago is so closely joined together like a necklace, there are almost always islands on the horizon. The relatively populated islands also provide many experiences for local cuisine, shopping, and activities such as wind surfing, scuba diving, parasailing, and more.  That is why its one of our returning guests favorite itineraries of Island Hoppers all-inclusive Caribbean sailing charters.

“There’s nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it’s sent away.”

Welcome party on all-inclusive British Virgin Isles sailing charters

DAY ONE

Arrive in Tortola around 3:00 to 5:00 PM. in time to stow your gear and meet fellow your fellow sailors. Join the captain for a “welcome aboard” cocktail hour as the crew and guests get acquainted. Tonight we will have dinner ashore at one of the colorful local restaurants. The next morning we will set sail on our Island Hoppers sailing holiday!

DAY TWO

Wave goodbye to Tortola as we  hoist the sails and make our way northward up the Sir Frances Drake Channel to the island of Virgin Gorda. After dropping anchor at the quaint harbor at Spanish Town we will board our dinghy and head ashore to the world famous “Baths”. Hiking the “Baths” is a phenomenal experience. Don’t forget your camera. After the Baths we can walk the nature trail up to one of my favorite watering holes, Maddogs. After a beverage of choice we will head back to Spanish Town, board the yacht and set sail to a spectacular anchorage, Long Bay . Here we will swim and snorkel, relax with cocktails while your Captain prepares a gourmet dinner.

DAY THREE

Today we chart our course and set sail to the north side of Virgin Gorda. We will sail by famed Virgin Airlines owner Richard Branson private island, Necker Island as we make our way to “Gorda Sound”. This beautiful anchorage is the home the “Bitter End Yacht Club” and Leverick Bay Resort. No trip to Gorda Sound can be complete without a dinghy ride over to explore the local beach bars. Dinner tonight can be on board the yacht or at one of the several local beachside restaurants.

DAY FOUR

Gorda Sound is the perfect launching pad for the exciting sail to the “jewel of the BVI’s”. This reef island measures only 12 miles long and 3 miles wide and is the most remote island of all of the British Virgin Islands. Being a reef island, the highest point above sea level is 28 feet and the reefs are a haven for shell fish and Caribbean lobster. Dinner tonight will be unbelievable. The island is protected by a barrier reef and the beaches extend for miles. Over on the north shore you will experience the beautiful beaches of Loblolly Bay and Cow Wreck Beach. We will arrive early and you will have the day and evening to walk the miles of secluded white beaches and explore this remote island. This island is truly why I sail the BVI’s. Dinner will be ashore tonight. It will be as memorable as it sounds.

DAY FIVE

Watching the sunrise in Anegada is truly a special event. For those of you who are really hungry, its only a short dinghy ride over to “Pam’s Kitchen”. Pam and family are the proprietors the local bakery, where these Canadian transplants prepares fresh baked breads and muffins each day for the islanders and the yachtsmen alike. There is no rushing in the BVI’s. Today we will have a leisurely sail to Marina Cay to take on water and Ice. You can shop at Pusser’s Landing and explore this little piece of paradise called Marina Cay. From here we will have a short sail over to Trellis Bay for the evening. Aragorn’s Studio is a must
see ashore. If we are lucky and the moon and stars are in line, there will be a “full moon party” and Aragorn will light the famous “Carib Indian Fire Domes” Truly a site to see.

DAY SIX

Today is a lazy day. After a morning swim and shopping spree, we are off to explore Salt Island for a short stopover to see how BVI Sea Salt is made. At its most prosperous Salt Island was home to approximately 200 residents. After lunch it is a short sail to Cooper Island for our last night. The swimming and snorkeling are great here and the beach is one of the best. Tonight we can dine on board or dinghy over to the Cooper Island Beach Club for our last dinner.

DAY SEVEN

From Cooper Island it is only a short sail back to home port so there is no hurry to get underway. After a morning swim, a walk on the beach and a good breakfast we will hoist our sails and bid farewell to Cooper Island. Arriving at the dock just before 10 AM gives you time for some duty-free shopping before you depart for home relaxed, with the best tan of your life and ready for your next sailing adventure.
